Matching the Product to the Problem

When we receive an incinerator or thermal oxidiser enquiry from an intending customer, it is analyzed by the Project Team, who will raise any query concerning the type of waste, its calorific value, type of refractory required, upstream and downstream equipment necessary, local stack emission norms, etc. Many large process and manufacturing companies, large EPC contractors and Technical Consultants do provide all the necessary information in their RFQs.

Answers to the queries or the detailed specs provided enable us to prepare certain basic engineering documents such as:

1. heat and mass balance

2. general arrangement drawing

3. process flow drawing

4. piping and instrumentation drawing, etc.

These are then submitted to the client for his understanding, evaluation and response.

Once we get a response or further technical queries (which are clarified subsequently), a detailed technical offer is prepared, which is then submitted to the client for his acceptance.

Once again the client takes his time to understand the detailed material specification, process flow, etc. and responds again. These are replied to and finally all technical points are closed.

The next step is to agree on commercial terms and conditions.  This could be simple or very detailed depending on the end client and the ultimate user.  The user could be a camp site generating MSW or a very hazardous oil and gas drilling site needing extended warranties, flame proof instruments, motors, etc.

After a few rounds of correspondence, depending on the quality of the technical offer, the techno-commercial proposal is closed, subject of course to the agreement on contract value between the two parties.

Some of the large and prestigious projects thus executed by Haat include:
