Incinerators for TATA Group

We have been privileged to be a regular vendor to the Tata Group. Our installations in Tata Group cover the following establishments:

1. Tata Tea

2. Tinplate Company Ltd

3. Tata Motors Limited (Hospital) – Jamshedpur

4. Tata Motors Limited  (Industrial) – Jamshedpur

5. Tata Iron Ore Steel Limited – Noamundi Mines

6. Tata Hitachi  – Dharwad

7. Titan Industries Limited- Hosur

8. Tata Iron & Steel Limited, Jamshedpur

The first lot of Free Burning LD Trash Destructors were supplied in the year 1999 for disposal of packaging materials and other documents to Tata Tea.

It was then the turn of Tinplate Company Ltd to order a PD model for biomedical waste complying with the rules prevalent then.

Tata Motors Limited, Jamshedpur installed for their hospital a BP model incinerator with scrubber, chimney and PLC panel. Supplied in the year 2005 and commissioned subsequently. The waste was biomedical and the plant has been running since with O&M done by Haat for quite a while.

The next system was supplied to Tata Motors Limited, Jamshedpur for their automobile plant.  The waste was paint sludge and jigs and fixtures used while painting.  This was also an installation where combustion heat was recovered for use within the system itself.  The model supplied here was LRD, a fairly large sized system with wet venturi scrubber, 30-m stack, PLC controlled panel etc.  There was a paint stripping chamber where the jigs and fixtures were loaded into, from time to time, and flue gas from primary chamber is drawn to this chamber for stripping these parts of paint and then travelling to the secondary chamber and scrubber for further treatment.

This system was supplied in the year 2005 and TATAs desired HAAT to run the system which Haat did for more than 10 years, ensuring compliance to emissions and maintaining the system well.

With the experience Tata Motors had of the quality and reliability

of the incinerator system that was supplied to them this far, more Tata Group companies followed suit.

It was then the turn of Tata Iron & Steel, Noamundi Mines, Telcon (now Tata Hitachi) Dharwad, Titan Industries, Hosur and Tata Iron & Steel, Jamshedpur to consider and decide on the best equipment for their waste disposal problems.

Telcon, Dharwad, manufacturer of heavy earth moving equipment, ordered a system for a similar application like Jamshedpur the same model (LRD) and system configuration as Jamshedpur. This was installed in 2009 and we did operation and maintenance of the system for 5 years.

Titan, Hosur was for an entirely different application.  Being a jewellery manufacturing arm of the Tata Group, they wished to install a precious metal recovery system from Haat for increasing the recovery of yellow metal.  This is based on Haat`s performance with a similar jewellery company in Bangalore.  The model PMR system with wet scrubber was supplied and commissioned in the year 2010.  The customer told us that at the end of the first year of operation they were able to recover the cost of the capital invested in the incinerator in about 8 months’ time due to a better recovery of precious metal using Haat PMR.

TISCO Jamshedpur ordered a Free Burning HD model trash destructor which required no fuel! This was for disposing of packing materials and wood waste. It is being used regularly since 2012.

Another system was supplied to Tata`s automobile plant in Jamshedpur, model HD for disposal of packaging waste in the year 2012.

We are  happy to be associated with the Tata Group and  are sure that we have measured up to their expectations in terms of value for money, life expectancy for the machine and quality that is in-built in the Haat incinerator which is evident from the trust that they have reposed in HAAT over the years.  We are very pleased that the oldest system in the Jamshedpur is now running into its 15th year of service.
