Haat has shredders in its range of waste management equipment. What is a shredder? And where do you use it?
Obviously, as the name suggests, a shredder shreds a solid material. You use it where you want:
- volume reduction
- to do recycling of rejected materials
- to reduce costs of storage and transport
- to have loose material instead of solid one, to facilitate incineration
- to avoid misuse of unwanted/rejected finished products
A shredder adds to the already sizeable range of waste management equipment that Haat has.
Special features of Haat`s shredders:
1. These are mostly double shaft counter-rotating types, although single shaft and four shaft (disintegrators) are also available
2. The double shaft design facilitates safe running of the system without damaging the motor or the gear box.
3. Sturdy and safe, the equipment gives high performance and uptime.
4. Automatic control provides for high operational and energy efficiency.
5. Customised design ensures suitability of use.
6. Alloy steel cutter assembly
7. Auto reversal of the cutter shaft assembly is a key safety feature.
8. Special shipboard shredders to save space are available.
9. Meets MARPOL annexure V requirements of grinding food waste before discharging.
10. Easy installation - plug and shred.
11. Auto shut off if loading door is open during running is a safety feature.
12. PLC control panel.
Design & Construction:
The design and construction of the shredder is based on the principle of
The cutter assembly has special alloy steel cutters for long edge retention, trouble-free operation and long life.
Hopper and support assemblies are made of carbon steel with necessary bracing.
Specially made gear box with motor is fitted into the shredder, considering the load on the machine and optimum power requirements.
The entire assembly is painted in 2 or 3 coatings after suitable surface preparation.
Advantages:
a) High savings in logistics costs by volume reduction
b) Better incineration efficiency if waste pre-treated
c) Ideal for recycling material
d) Prevents branded labels from being misused.
Applications:
1. Pharma industry - discarded/expired medicines, cosmetics and cream tubes.
2. Recycling - plastics, paper, cardboard, metal drums and tyres.
3. Automobile - carpets, plastics, metal cuttings, tail lights, bumpers and panels
4. Electronics - PCBs, hard drives, CDs
5. Electricals - cables and wires for recovery of metal components.
6. Hospitals - syringes, plastics,
7. Shipping - food, garbage, bones, cans, glass
8. Banking - currency notes, cheque books, confidential files.
Shredder range:
1. Model HM3 - 40 to 80 kg /h
2. Model HM5 - 50 to 150 kg/h
3. Model HM7 - 150 to 250 kg/h
4. Model HM 11 - 250 to 400 kg/h
5. Model HM 22 - 500 to 1000 kg/h
6. Model HM 45 - 1000 to 2000 kg/h
