The Asia Pacific Region consists of approximately 40 countries, big and small, from the U.S. and Canada, to Papua New Guinea and Vanuatu.

The Asia-Pacific region accounts for almost 37% of world GDP at purchasing power parity.   Moreover, it also comprises some of the most dynamic economies in the world.  The contribution to global growth of emerging Asia alone reached around 40% last year.

The area is responsible for contributing to global economics and is an important field for global powers to exercise international politics through various conflicts and alliances.  The Asia Pacific is part of the world located in the western Pacific Ocean.

Asia-Pacific is the fastest-growing economic region in the world.  It is also a place of contrasts, home to some of the smallest and poorest countries and some of the largest and richest.  Millions have been lifted out of poverty, but the region remains home to almost half of the world’s poor.

According to an analysis, the Asia Pacific region (Asia and Oceania combined) generated nearly half the global e-waste quantities in 2019.  Among the Asian nations, China (10.1Mt), India (3.2Mt), Japan (2.5 Mt), and Indonesia (1.6 Mt) are the highest e-waste generators in the region.
