Our representative from an Indian Ocean island contacted us with an RFQ for a Marine Incinerator. The machine was not required to be used on board a ship but to dispose of wastes similar to the ones generated by ships. The end user was an electricity generating company using heavy furnace oil based generators for this purpose.
The incinerator was a triple chamber retort type, which we have made in good number in the past. However, the chamber has to be jacketed and cooled continuously using a forced draft fan. In addition, to create a negative pressure in the chamber, an ejector assembly had also to be designed.
The client wished to have his engineer visit us to inspect the completed system and witness the actual burning of oil sludge and solid waste as per specifications already given. We had to run the system continuously over a period of 2 days
The tests proved successful and the machine was shipped to the end user. Our commissioning team was sent to install and hand over the plant which was a fairly large 2400 KW (thermal capacity) plant for both sludge oil and solid wastes.
To conclude, the incinerator is working satisfactorily for nearly 4 years now and it is working Round the Clock!
