Thermal Oxidisers
There are Direct Fired Thermal Oxidisers, Recuperative Thermal Oxidisers and Regenerative Thermal Oxidisers.
Of these, the most economical and self-sustaining system is the Regenerative type called RTO. The direct fired DFTO is used where the calorific value of the waste gas is so less that it requires to be compensated continuously by a fuel gas.
Recuperative thermal oxidizers are a natural evolution of the direct fired thermal oxidizer but less commonly used than direct fired thermal oxidizers or regenerative thermal oxidizers. They have additional primary and/or secondary heat recovery and run cooler than RTOs at about 760° C or 1400° F and have a much lower heat recovery efficiency of up to 80%.
Haat`s DFTOs and RTOs are now firmly established as preferred systems for converting dirty waste gases into cleaner air. We have already installed quite a few DFTOs in different parts of the country and more are on the anvil for both domestic and overseas requirements.
As far as the RTO is concerned, there are some projects under discussion from far and near and we hope to convert these into contracts within a short time.
