Haat has the capability and experience in installing incinerators for Atomic Energy establishments, particularly for radioactive wastes, both solid and liquid.
Radioactive wastes need very stringent and highly safety-oriented equipment and need careful handling of the waste and even more careful incineration of the same. These incinerators are usually designed based on the International Atomic Energy Agency’s (IAEA) safety series 108 for ‘Design and Operation of Radioactive Waste Incineration Facilities’.
To do this, the manufacturer has to be equipped with certain pre-requisites:
- Experience in the incineration field for at least 15 years.
- Experienced and skilled staff and technicians.
- Very good and effective quality control department.
- Production equipment to handle welding of the critical equipment without any problem.
- Good service team to complete installation and commissioning without any hitch and provide continued service to the end user.
The manufacturer must understand the significance of handling this type of waste and should be able to provide;
- Welders qualified under ASME Section IX. Only such qualified welders can carry out fabrication of the key
Haat has supplied incinerators for both liquid and solid wastes for radioactive applications, the waste liquid being radioactive dodecane and the solid waste being contaminated PPEs such as aprons, gloves, cotton wastes, etc. and such systems are working well for more than 10 years. Haat also has incinerators for NORM (Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material) waste.
You may rely on Haat to give you a solution, whatever the type of waste.
“Haat can be relied on to meet urgent requirements.” – Sanjay Tulshyan, Managing Director, Technical Associates, Nepal.
