Incinerators for the United Nations
As we mentioned in one of our earlier blogs, we are executing a contract for the United Nations for supplies to African countries for use by their Peace Keeping Forces.
Despite the pandemic and resultant lockdowns in various parts of the country, we have so far managed to complete supplies of equipment in thirty containerized systems to the end user.
This blog is about the final lot of 12 containers that are being shipped by this month end or early July. We have consumed something like 200 tons of refractory, 150 tons of steel, 5 tons of stainless steel, nearly 100 mono block burners, several control panels, hydraulic systems, PPE, customised containers, a few thousand litres of paints, large quantities of spares and consumables, a host of instruments to name just the major items.
We take this opportunity to express our thanks for the support and cooperation given to us by;
1. Our Business Partner in Europe for bearing with us during the marginal delays contributed by the lockdowns which is a ‘force majeure’ condition.
2. All our vendors and suppliers who supplied the items on time or with a marginal delay and who were really concerned only with supplies and not payments. In particular we wish to highlight our suppliers of electrical items, refractory, steel and stainless steel, burners and spares.
3. All our factory production and QC staff who worked day and night to complete the project.
4. All our supporting staff from Projects, Design, Procurement, Finance and Administration who worked partly or fully during the lockdown period which enabled us to carry out the necessary engineering design, documentation, paper work, etc.
With this final shipment, we complete the entire supply as per our contract and we are happy to be associated with the United Nations once again through our valued Business Partner in Europe.
