Paint Waste Incinerator
Every industry that makes a fabricated product, be it a piece of machinery, earthmoving equipment, white goods, equipment for power plants, cement plants, transport vehicles, passenger vehicles, scooters, motor cycles, tractors, etc. (the list could be endless) need to present their finished products in good light, that is by painting the final output. `A simple coat of paint makes all the difference`. A good looking product is what creates the desire to buy. Not only does painting give the product a good look, it enhances its life by protecting it from the vagaries of nature.
Back in the 80’s, there were only a few automobile manufacturers in India and what they offered was meekly accepted by gullible buyers. There were no good painting methods and techniques for preparation. Even pickling was not good enough to last a couple of years. The writer has the personal experience of ending up with a rusted body in a 6 month old car which he bought in 1982.
Today the situation is vastly different. There are good painting methods and better techniques for preparation, which results in not only excellent looks but a car owner need not go looking for a roadside tinkering shop every now and then. A ten year old car has its paint condition as good as when the owner bought it.
While this is very good for the car, how do manufacturers manage the paint waste? Depending upon the type of painting method, whether it is dry powder paint or wet paint, the excess spray has to be collected either in a collecting pond or in filters. There are also the jigs used in the paint both where the paint dries up.
Paint manufacturers also have to dispose of their rejects and sludge produced in the manufacture of different types of paints.
Haat has been supplying incinerators for paint waste and using heat recovery from the incineration process to strip paint from jigs and fixtures for many years. The industries covered are automobile, heavy earth moving equipment, tractors, construction equipment, motor cycles, paint manufacture, printing and packaging industry, etc.
Haat has also supplied many complex systems to one of the big names in paint manufacturing in the world. Haat offers not only Paint Waste Incinerators but also Regenerative Thermal Oxidisers to handle emissions from paint booths.
