Haat's Hospital Waste Incinerators

Haat has a number of models of incinerators for the healthcare segment.  Hospitals and nursing homes generate a variety of bio-medical wastes, all of which cannot be incinerated, in particular, chlorinated plastics.

Items that are permitted to be incinerated are:

-        Human anatomical waste

-        Animal anatomical waste

-        Microbiology and biotechnology waste

-        Discarded medicines and cytotoxic waste

-        Soiled waste

-

The Biomedical Waste (Handling & Transport) Rules 2016, amended up to 2019 draws out the features of the incinerator and air pollution control equipment and these rules are applicable in India.  Haat has supplied quite a number of incinerators complying with the then existing and current regulations to many health care units and common bio-medical waste incinerator facilities in the country.

Haat has also supplied a number of systems to overseas users in the last 20 years, some of which were installed in prestigious medical institutions.

The ADR model incinerator has been supplied to many African and Far Eastern countries, particularly for use in remote health centres. Many of these systems have been supplied through UNDP and UNOPS.

The countries include Afghanistan, Mongolia, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Kenya, Sudan, Tanzania, Chad, Senegal, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Yemen, Bahrain, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Brunei, Congo, Cote d`lvoire, Mauritius, Myanmar.

The ADR model incinerator is normally skid-mounted with 2 burners, diesel tank and control panel, prewired, refractory cured, shop-assembled and tested prior to shipment. The incinerator is generally supplied with its own combustion air fan and ejector mechanism. Optional equipment include wet scrubber, PLC panel, ram loader and stack. It has a customised refractory which is time-tested and has a very long life.
