What Is Expected From An Incinerator For Poultry Waste?
Here`s a simple analysis of what the poultry industry needs from an incinerator and what can be offered:
1. Wastes to be loaded in one go without having to charge the machine every now and then.
- Yes such a design is available.
2. We do not want the machine to produce any smoke.
- Yes all Haat incinerators, especially the PWR and ADR models, do not produce smoke, provided the correct type of waste is charged.
3. We do not want leakage of smoke when the charging door is opened.
- From incinerator models 50 kg/h onwards, an ejector mechanism is provided, which creates negative pressure in the chambers, thus preventing leakage of smoke.
4. Can we retrofit air pollution control systems in due course?
- Yes the design permits APCs as add-ons in due course.
5. What about adding a tall stack?
- No problem.
6. Can we get an incinerator with a 2 seconds residence time?
- Yes it is available.
7. Will it take long to install the incinerator?
- All PWR and ADR models are skid-mounted, requiring no site work for installation. You only need to add fuel to the tank and connect the system to electric power, charge the waste and the incinerator is ready to fire.
8. Can you send a commissioning engineer to the site?
- Yes, but that is not always necessary as it is a very simple system to commission and operate.
9. What about O & M manual?
It is provided with the supply.
10. Can we get our incinerator operators trained?
- Yes, it can be done either at your site or in our factory.
11. How many Haat incinerators are in use for the poultry application?
- There are many within India and abroad.
12. Can we use a Haat incinerator for dead birds, egg shells as well as packaging wastes?
- Yes, no problem at all.
13. Can we visit an installation at any other customer’s site?
- As a rule poultry farms do not allow anyone to visit their site for this purpose. Either you can talk to them on the phone or visit our Works on a convenient date to witness a live demo or view the many videos of our system online.
14. Are spare parts readily available?
- Yes we keep a good stock at all times.
15. What about service?
- Available but do give us a couple of days’ notice.
16. How often do we have to reline the refractory?
- No relining is required. Occasionally some patch work may be required, if at all.
17. What is the life expectancy of Haat Incinerator?
- Minimum 15 years, depending on usage and maintenance.
Hope we have covered most of the needs of a poultry/hatchery farm from an incinerator. If we have left out anything, do contact us and we will be glad to assist.
