Hazardous Waste Incinerator Complying with Euro emission norms

A new R & D facility was coming up in South India for a large Middle East company.  The end user was looking for a suitable incinerator to dispose of mostly hazardous liquid residues.

As part of the pre-qualification, Cushman & Wakefield organized for visits for the client to our facility to assess for himself the quality of equipment that we make.  At the time of discussing the technical features of the equipment, Haat was the only bidder to offer emissions meeting European norms, which was fine by the client as this was in line with their own country regulations.

Haat has supplied many incinerators in India and abroad and met the local standards of emission, but meeting a particulate emission of 10 mg/Nm3 called for serious thinking, because this was extremely low.  We discussed this with our Swiss partner, who assured us that this can be met, as they had supplied equipment meeting similar values globally. Accordingly the design configuration was frozen.  After completing the fabrication and refractory lining, the incinerator was despatched to the site and installed. Commissioning was also done subsequently. At this point, the client felt that Haat should handle the operation and maintenance for at least 3 years. This was because he had seen our Common Hazardous Waste Incinerator Facility and was sure the machine will be in safe hands. The system was subsequently taken over by the client and is running satisfactorily for the past many years.
