Camp Waste Incineration
In remote areas such as in deserts, where there is no living being except desert creatures and engineers and technicians working and drilling for oil and gas, what do they do to dispose of the waste generated? Can they just afford to dump it deep in the desert assuming it is uninhabited?
The awareness on environmental protection is now so well spread that even in the most remote locations, companies ensure that all waste generated by them is disposed of properly.
What are the wastes generated? There is food waste, general garbage, medical waste and even hazardous waste. Even though in a vast desert or icy landscape, there exist flora and fauna that can be impacted by improper waste management. Many responsible corporates, who take up oil and gas drilling work, do install incinerators to ensure clean burning of waste material.
Haat has supplied incinerators or ‘incinerator packages’ to quite a few EPC contractors at different locations in the world. These include installations in the desert, in the tundra and on shore. When we receive these RFQs, we are not really surprised with the attention to details given, the specs drawn up and the thoroughness with which FAT and SATs are conducted by the end user as well as by inspection agencies.
Some of our incinerators are working in an atmosphere where there is presence of explosive gas and hence most of the electrical equipment and instruments have to be ex rated or flame-proof and SIL certified, which makes the system more comprehensive.
Many of our incinerators are working well even after many years of installation and the users are big names in the industry and government.
We are quite happy we are able to meet the expectations of the end user by providing after-sales service to these incinerator systems even now.
