EEPC, an arm of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, has bestowed upon Haat another award, this time ‘Export Excellence’ for the year 2019-20. This is the 3rd award we are getting in the last two years, two for Export Excellence and one for Quality.

The entire Haat team deserved this award because of the hard work put in by them in executing a portion of a large order we got for systems to be supplied to the United Nations.

The question that may arise in one’s mind is how we got this award for exports during the peak of the pandemic. EEPC answered this question during the award ceremony. The pandemic affected not only indigenous sales, but more particularly exports. Companies had to close down their operations to prevent spreading of the virus and we were not alone in this. However, with the help of the concerned authorities who agreed that we were an essential service, we were able to work night shifts and executed part of this prestigious order. It was a challenging task, having to manufacture 21 incinerator systems with pollution control equipment and fill 42 containers, after performance testing, all within a time frame of 6 months. But for the help we got to run the plant, we would not have met the target. Fortunately, there was no issue of spreading of the virus in our Works.

While thanking EEPC for motivating MSME units in their efforts to contribute to the growth of exports from India we would like to assure them that we have made/are making appreciable contributions for exports in the last couple of years and in the current and next few years.
