Shipboard Incinerator

Close on the heels of our SWR Marine Incinerator getting registered with DGQA, comes news from our Associates in Mauritius that the Marine Incinerator installed at the Central Electricity Board, for disposal of waste heavy furnace sludge oil from the generators, has been working non-stop for more than 5 years. This is an on-shore application but the waste is the same as what you would get on board a ship.

The Haat SWR model is running in parallel with another European system for the same application.

This is great news for those who intend using the SWR model ship board incinerator because it shows the:

- dependability

- reliability

- trouble-free working

- maintenance free (or very little)

- rugged construction

of our ‘shipboard’ incinerators. This is very vital for the Navy, Coast guard and Shipyards because here is one incinerator that:

- is fully automatic

- does not depend on the presence of an operator all the time

- does not need a maintenance engineer all the time

- can function day and night non stop

- is comparable to the best in the world

Apart from all the above, the incinerator is low on capital costs with practically no running costs because it uses the waste as fuel!

Captains of ships engaged in very important missions, guarding frontiers and territorial waters can rest easy that there will be no overload of waste oil on  board, making their vessel lighter, not to mention the fact that the waste disposal is cost effective, easy and does not require any manual intervention.
