EEPC Green Awards
Finally, after nurturing numerous trees and plants at our Jigani facility over the past 25 years, we are delighted to have been rewarded with a Certificate of Appreciation by EEPC.
This recognition comes as part of the maiden EEPC Green Awards, presented to industries for their exemplary efforts in sustainability.
Our commitment to sustainable practices in the engineering sector has been commended by the authorities, considering the following achievements:
Energy Savings
We have achieved significant energy savings, as detailed below:

Averages

Even with production increasing fivefold, there has been a noticeable reduction in energy consumed, water consumed and waste generated, as reflected in the figures above.
Water conservation
We have enhanced rainwater harvesting and underground storage at our facility, which has significantly improved the water table.
Precious Metal Recovery
Our Precious Metal Recovery (PMR) incinerator systems have been adopted by new clients, including the largest jewellery manufacturers and industries that recover catalysts made of platinum, gold, and palladium. Our sustainable designs have improved water and energy efficiency.
Waste Heat / Acid Recovery
Our waste heat recovery systems are increasingly used to recover waste heat and produce steam and we are also able to recover acids from our scrubbers. These systems have proven their sustainability and efficiency and we are exploring additional applications currently under development.
In our own plant, we have a quite a number of flora such as Teak, Silver oak and fruit bearing trees like avocado, alphonso mango, jackfruit, guava, chikku (sapodilla), banana, coconut and gooseberry numbering nearly 40 which not only provide healthy fruits to humans but also to man’s primate cousins, who visit us from to time and gorge on the plentiful supply.
All in all, it has been a fruitful (pun intended) time for us and our staff and in the process, we have contributed to the environment with our green efforts.
