Certifications of an Incinerator Manufacturer

What are the certifications that an incinerator manufacturer should have and why?

There can be many certifications but we would list out those that we have. As for the question ‘Why’, a certificate simply lends credibility to the manufacturer’s claims and assures the buyer that there is ‘value for money’ when he installs a Haat Incinerator or Thermal Oxidiser.

Haat has the following certifications:

1.                ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System. This ensures clear process flow, evidence and procedures. As far the client is concerned, it creates confidence that our system is of proven quality. The system is such that it is process and not person dependent.  We have had this certificate since 1999.

2.                ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System. Assurance of correct usage of natural resources, avoiding impact on environment. This is vital considering the type of equipment that we make. We have had this since 2008.

3.                ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health & Safety. How to consider machine design and work area for safe working of employees.  Following the steps laid down here will help avoid incidents and accidents. We have had this since 2008.

4.                MED B + D: This certification is for our model SWR range of Marine Incinerators from 200 to 2400 KW and assures the user of safety, performance and emissions.

5.                CE Certification: We self-certify for CE compliance of our equipment, from time to time, based on customer requirements and our own compliance.

6.                ASME Sec. IX Welder qualification: The qualified welder produces acceptable quality weld according to the procedure qualified. Our welders are qualified for 6G which means `any positional welding`.

7.                ASME Sec .V NDT: Our quality engineers are qualified to Level 2 for PT. They will not keep a blind eye to defects in the weld and ensure these are corrected promptly.

8.                Working equipment: Competent authority, certified by Industries & Commerce Dept., Govt. of Karnataka, checks equipment like overhead cranes, compressors, tools and tackles, lifting equipment, fork lift, pallet trucks, etc. once again and certifies to their  condition for safe use.

9.                Air Monitoring: An approved laboratory checks the ambient air quality every month in Haat’s factory and certifies its suitability.

10.             NABL certified calibration: An accredited laboratory checks and certifies the correctness of our in-house instruments, depending on the frequency required.
