Yet another project for Precious Metal Recovery

There is yet another catalyst recovery and manufacturing company that has endorsed Haat’s speciality in making equipment for recovery of precious metals.

This organisation is a well-known company worldwide and recovers precious metals from spent catalysts and resupplies them to many pharma and chemical industries.  These catalysts include emission control catalysts, industrial catalysts, absorbents, process technologies, fine chemicals, active pharmaceutical ingredients, chemical products, medical device components, colours, coatings, fuel cell technology, battery technology, etc.

Due to the security requirements associated with such installations, the thermal oxidiser had to be carefully crafted to suit very specific site conditions.  The accuracy of equipment ducting, route and supports were critical in ensuring the terminations and exhausts are in line with the already constructed shelter.  The project covers a thermal oxidising chamber which treats flue gas from several primary chambers.  A flue gas header combines the inlets from the primary chambers and then feeds it to the oxidizer.  Except certain parts which are refractory lined, the rest of the system is lined with ceramic fibre material.  Suitable barriers are provided to prevent accidental contact with hot surfaces.

The oxidizer is sized for the minimum specified residence time and drastically reduces the load on downstream air pollution control equipment.  This enables the user to achieve better emissions and their own constantly improving environmental objectives.
