In this series talks about a project executed by us for SABIC Research & Technology Private Limited.

SABIC is a Saudi Arabian Govt. Held Company which was setting up R&D facilities on the outskirts of Bangalore.  The Project Consultants were Cushman & Wakefield and the EPC Contractor was Shapoorji Pallonji & Company Limited.

The waste here was solid and 3 types of liquids and it required a very efficient liquid waste disposal system with redundancy.  While we were corresponding with our present Technical Director in Switzerland with regard to an appropriate design to meet the client’s requirement, we invited them to our factory to see the running Hazardous Waste Incinerator Unit.  The visitors were very happy to see the condition and performance of our system and the impressive list of industries which were sending their hazardous wastes for us for disposal.

Our Technical Director confirmed a scrubbing system which included an acid gas scrubber and a bag house to achieve low particulate emissions.  After evaluating various bids and interactions with other bidders, the client recommended Haat to Shapoorji Pallonji.  Shapoorji Pallonji then negotiated with us and finalized the contract.  There were inspections by the client and the contractors while work was in progress and finally after the Factory Acceptance Test, the equipment offered was accepted, system delivered, installed and commissioned in time.  The system has been working well since 2012.
